We can use our BRCAssured™ test to analyze archived tumor tissue from your relatives surgery. Since hospitals are mandated to keep surgical specimens for several years, if you know the hospital, your relative or their legal representative can request that the tissue be sent to us for testing.
Risk determination has been ineffective in identifying the true population of BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutation carriers. Even with the introduction of sequencing, the prohibitive cost and time frame, delays the identification of carriers.
With our BRCAssured™ test, we can look at the cancer tumor tissue and identify whether it is hereditary or not.
